Questions people ask us
Where is PADev Group, and what area do you serve?
PADev Group is in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We travel up to 25 miles from Tulsa for on-site work, and farther by arrangement. Software and web work is done remotely, and for clients within 150 miles the first and final meetings are in person.
What does PADev stand for?
Platform Agnostic Development. We have no favorite language or vendor, and we choose tools to fit the problem.
How long has PADev Group been in business?
Since November 1998. Christopher Rapp founded it, and it was relaunched in 2025 with Evan Hobbs as lead consultant.
What do you charge?
Regular rates run from $70 to $150 an hour depending on the service, and every rate is on our pricing page. Non-profit rates run from $30 to $75 an hour.
Do you give non-profits a discount?
Yes. A non-profit’s first consultation is free, and it pays $30 to $75 an hour where our regular rates are $70 to $150.
Who does the work?
Evan Hobbs leads client work. Christopher Rapp advises and steps in where his experience is needed. People building their IT experience may work on a project with them, under their direction.
What happens in an initial consultation?
We evaluate what you have now: your infrastructure, your software and your web presence. We talk through what you want it to become. Then we propose a plan and a budget. It is free for non-profits and $150 for everyone else.
Can you take over a project that has gone wrong?
Yes. Christopher Rapp takes short engagements to get a stalled software project moving again.
What is the Resident Technology Concierge?
It is scheduled, one-on-one technology help for residents of independent-living communities. A PADev consultant comes to the community at a set time and residents book short appointments. Communities start with a 90-day pilot.
Do you keep residents’ passwords?
No. We never keep passwords, PINs, card numbers or security codes, and we do not log in to bank or financial accounts.
How do I reach you?
Call 918-948-0350, write to contact@padevgroup.com, or use the form on the contact page.
Rates are on the pricing page, and the concierge is described on its own page.
